Bricanyl

Bricanyl

Bricanyl contains terbutaline, a fast-onset but short-acting (4-6 hours) ß2-agonist that has been widely used since its introduction in 1970. Terbutaline acts within a few minutes of being inhaled, and is indicated for the as needed treatment of bronchial asthma, as well as for other lung diseases where bronchospasm is a complicating factor, such as chronic bronchitis and emphysema.

The as needed use of inhaled terbutaline as a reliever for asthma is well established in national and international guidelines.
